They then set off across dramatic terrain in Ethiopia.

Harris’s Mini began in good condition but finished with battle scars which it still has. as reported by Whats The Jam.
Its listing states: “The car still runs and drives, although it has no current MOT as it has been part of a private collection.

“For collectors, it offers an immediately identifiable slice of Top Gear history that would spark conversation in any garage or display.
“The original Mini changed motoring for good.

“Its A-Series engine is mounted transversely and shares its sump with the gearbox, a space-saving masterstroke that, along with rubber cone suspension, delivers the go-kart feel that made the Mini a favourite.

“The clever packaging allowed most of the floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, helping the Mini become both a household name and a British style icon.”
Auctioneer Rob Hubbard, said: “Cars with genuine screen provenance always capture attention, and this plucky Mini will be familiar to many Top Gear viewers.
