A detached house is up selling for £300,000 but there is a catch… it’s only partially built.

The property will need to be completed by the new owner as the previous work is not complete.

Planning consent has been obtained for the construction of a three-bedroom, two-storey pad.

But currently, it has no roof, windows or doors.

There is a metal gate on the side of the property – presumably where the door will fit.

The windows are yet to be inserted and the gap has been boarded up.

The property, in Bristol, currently has one floor.

However, it has the foundations to build an additional two floors.

Work on pilings, bridgework and drains have already been done.

This includes work on fitting electric, gas and water onto the property.

According to the estate agent Taylors, Bristol City Council have approved the planning consent and passed the works to date.

The new owner still has a lot to complete and will need to fork out thousands more on the building after purchase.

Bizarrely, the buyer is also expected to only pay in cash.

The listing on Rightmove reads: “The property planning consent for the construction of a single three-bedroom dwelling which has had a material start.

“The site obtained planning consent from Bristol City Council on 13th December 2017 reference 17/05509/F for two units.

”There is a later application 19/01388/X granted on 10th May 2019 for a material change to the plans.

”This granted planning consent is for two units of which unit two has been constructed and does not form part of this sale.

”Unit one which is a three bedroom, two storey building with two bedrooms located in the roof space with light from Velux windows.

”Construction has commenced and is being sold in its current part-built condition.

”We have been advised that Bristol City Council Build Control have passed the works to date.”
