A woman was left “mortified” after her Vinted bikini arrived inside a recycled Nando’s takeaway bag.
Meghan Kelly ordered a “new-with-tags” £8 H&M bikini on the second-hand clothing app and collected her parcel from her local shop.
But the 32-year-old was stunned when she was handed what appeared to be a Nando’s takeaway bag containing her purchase.

Meghan, who is vegetarian, initially feared the bag had previously been used to carry chicken and was horrified at the thought of her new bikini being exposed to grease or food remnants.
“My first immediate reaction was shock, and I asked the shop assistant if it was a joke,” Meghan, an assistant store manager from Liverpool, told Whats The Jam.
“Then I saw my address.
“I was mortified because I’m vegetarian, so the thought of my new bikini with tags being contaminated with chicken grease in a bag instantly made me feel sick.”
She said she was so concerned that she enlisted her Nando’s-loving sister to take the bikini out of the bag for her.

However, it later emerged that the bag was actually clean and had never been used to carry food.
Meghan said: “I messaged the seller explaining that I’m all for recycling, but I thought that the Nando’s bag was taking the mick.
“I explained that it made me feel uneasy that it was in that certain bag, as I’m a vegetarian, and she replied very nicely and so fast, saying that she worked at Nando’s and the bag was clean; she just didn’t have any other bag to put my bikini in.

“She said that Nando’s offers some delicious vegetarian options and that made me laugh.”
Despite the unusual packaging, Meghan did not ask for a refund and didn’t leave the seller a review after making the discovery on 18 Sep.
She added: “I’m all for recycling, but I draw the line at recycling food bags, especially takeaway bags.
“I think online retailer bags are fine.”
Meghan shared a clip where she showed off the strange delivery on social media, where it racked up more than 8,000 views.
Commenters shared similar experiences.
