A hungry elephant is caught red-handed breaking open a storage unit to steal food.
The hilarious moment is captured by a local using their mobile phone.
A grey elephant spotted the warehouse from afar and slowly made its way over.
It then steps up and uses its trunk, as well as the weight of its whole body, to push forward onto the unit doors.

Locals can be heard screaming and shouting in an attempt to stop the elephant, as well as throwing random items.
But the animal then has a peak as to what’s inside, before using its trunk to grab a bag of grains.
It then carefully steps back down and takes the food to the middle of the street.
The elephant then uses its foot to kick the bag, before picking it back up and walking off.

It was recorded in a one-minute and 17-second clip from an onlooker, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The moment was filmed yesterday (2 Apr) in a foodgrain godown facility in India.
Local, Naresh Nambisan said: “The elephant knows that if there is no food in the forest.

“It has to come to the Food Corporation Of India godown to get food.”
