A young fox got herself into a tricky situation after becoming entangled in a football net in someone’s garden.
Footage shows the animal struggling in the netting, which had wrapped around her legs and body.
Wallington Animal Rescue, based in Sutton, London, were called to rescue the poor fox – and has since issued a stern warning.

A spokesperson said: “Another rescue that could have been avoided today, or anytime, really.
“Summer’s over – put these nets away now.
“Cut them up, burn them, anything you want – just bloody do it!”
Luckily, the netting was loose enough that she hadn’t suffered any serious injuries.
The incident happened last Thursday (13 November), as reported by What’s The Jam.

After a quick inspection to confirm her health, the fox was released back into the wild.
In May of this year, an RSPCA wildlife centre in Cheshire reminded people about the dangers netting posed to wildlife after another fox had to be rescued from a goal net.
A spokesperson said: “Sadly, we do get a number of animals who come to us after getting tangled in netting, but all of this could be avoided if netting were correctly put away.

“Last year, we had 162 animals come into us as a result of netting.
“Forms of garden netting, like pond netting, can be a real hazard to wild animals like hedgehogs, and the RSPCA recommend replacing them with solid metal mesh.”
