A super rare Ferrari – one of only 16 ever made – is set to sell for £3.5million.

The classic red 275 GTB/4 can still do a blistering 167mph.

It can reach 60mph from a standing start in just 6.7 seconds.

This is thanks to its V12, 3.3 litre engine and has 300bhp.

It underwent a partial restoration in the late 90s but still has its original chassis – number 09413 – engine, gearbox and bodywork.

It has a sleek black leather interior, as reported on What’s The Jam.

This particular model was previously owned by renowned illustrator, Robert ‘Bob’ Peak.

He was famed for designing film posters including ones for West Side Story, Star Trek, Superman, Apocalypse Now and The Spy Who Loved Me.

The vintage Ferrari is being sold by RM Sotheby’s.

A spokesperson for the auctioneers said: “In May 1967, 09413 was sold new to Robert ‘Bob’ Peak.

“Peak was well known as an incredibly talented commercial illustrator, known for his work in designing film posters.

“His earliest success was designing the poster for West Side Story and would continue creating posters for both Hollywood and Broadway through the late 1970s, with some of his most famous work being for Apocalypse Now, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Superman.

“While he might not have been a famous face in Hollywood, there is no doubt that his work had a profound effect in both film and theatre; millions of people around the world knew him through his work in both mediums.”

It then changed ownership twice before being shipped to Europe for its restoration.

There were two more owners but it has been part of a collection in California for the last ten years.

The guide price is between £2.7million and £3.5million.

The sale takes place in Beverly Hills, California on June 14.
