A shocked woman heard a strange noise coming from behind a window and discovered a colony of bats.
Carmen called the encounter with the flying mammals “traumatic.”
Her mother said she could hear something behind a wooden shutter on an outside upper-floor window.

Carmen went to investigate with her sister and dad.
A clip of the incident shows family members using brooms to swing the shutter open.
Dozens of bats suddenly fly out and the two sisters run away in shock, screaming as they go.
The clip was filmed by Carmen at her home in Spain.
The video went viral on TikTok with 26 million views and thousands of comments, as reported on What’s the Jam.
