He then started to wave his arms at the cow, but it charged straight at him.
The bovine knocked the officer to the ground and kept on running along the street.
The encounter was filmed on the intersection of América and Lo Blanco streets in the Chilean capital Santiago on Tuesday morning (29 Apr).

The police are investigating how the cow turned up loose on the streets.
The authorities reminded farmers to properly control their livestock to avoid similar risky situations in the future.
One local joked: “He really thought the cow was gonna put its hands up.”

Carlos added: “Show him your damn badge officer!”
Peter quipped: “He had beef with him.”
