Several neighbours have allegedly complained to the animal shelter in Setouchi Coast, Japan, several times after suspecting Chao Nao was a wild animal.

This led to an investigation, causing officials to visit and inspect the home.
Upon their visit, they realised there was no black bear, but instead a cute pup.
