A groom-to-be has gone viral after proposing to his girlfriend in front of a replica of the Eiffel Tower – after she begged him to take her to Paris.
Nelson Luna wanted to make his future wife’s dreams come true but he didn’t have a funds to whisk her away to France.
Instead, he opted for the Torre Eiffel in their native Colombia, which stands 19-meters tall in the Tapias de Barrancabermeja park.

Nelson tricked girlfriend Melissa Guarín into thinking they were going to see the Christmas lights before getting down on one knee in front of the temporary landmark.
In a romantic video which has gone viral online, Nelson can be seen getting down on one knee in the couple’s own little ‘Paris’.
He has a huge smile on his face and Melissa covers her mouth with her hands.
Behind them, the Torre Eiffel twinkles.
An image of the newly-engaged couple has received over 360,000 views online, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The happy couple have been together for 10 years and share an eight-year-old daughter.
The Torre Eiffel is part of Christmas decorations in the park which were inspired by Europe and the North Pole.
The replica arrived in the area on 1 December.

Viewers loved the idea and took to the comments to express their support.
