A man has been “baptised” by a hammerhead shark that knocked him into the sea after he removed a hook from its mouth.
David Boggs, 50, shared a video of the astonishing moment the predator suddenly began to sway from side to side.
He had just taken out a piece of metal from the shark’s jaws so it could safely return to the sea.

As it thrashed its tail in the shallow water, it knocked into David’s legs, sending him stumbling into the waves.
“That time the hammerhead shark baptised me because it didn’t appreciate me taking the hook out of his mouth,” he joked in the caption of his video, which he shared online Wednesday (18th June)
With the help of his 19-year-old friend Logan, David gently pulled the shark backwards into the waves.
The sea creature appeared calm towards the end of the video, which David shared with his 14,200 followers, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The incredible encounter occurred on 6 June by Marco Island, a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida, US.
