An investigation has been launched after a chunk of ice fell from the sky and damaged a homeowner’s roof.
The large block smashed into a property in the Seminole Woods housing development in Geneva, Florida, on Monday (3 February).
Other balls of ice were also reported to have been found scattered across the road.

A neighbour called to report the incident after noticing the slab had damaged a resident’s roof, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Lieutenant Patrick Juliano, of the Palm Coast Fire Department, said: “So when the crews arrived here they observed several large chunks of ice out on the ground and here on the street.
“And as well as a visible hole in the roof of the house.”
The hole was caused by a block of ice measuring 6ft by 3ft.
According to the fire department, it ended up inside the house but luckily no one was home or hurt.

Crews placed a blue tarp over the damaged roof to protect the property.
Since then, the Palm Coast Building Department has inspected the house and found it safe to live in, officials said.
Firefighters have since reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration.
