A woman baulked in disgust after finding what appears to be a dead gecko in her takeaway.
The office worker had bought the lunch meal at a buffet restaurant.
She then took it back to her workplace to eat it at her desk.

But as she opened the lid, she was horrified to allegedly spot the shrivelled reptile lying on top of some beansprouts.
Disgusted, the woman went straight back to the restaurant to confront staff about her discovery.
She claims they pretended to be clueless and even denied it was a lizard.
According to the woman’s account in a social media group, a staff member asked her: “Is this a crab or maybe a fish or something?”
The diner reported the matter to the authorities, according to local media on Thursday (8 Aug).

Local health officials reportedly inspected the premises that day, as reported by What’s The Jam.
They didn’t find any geckos but spotted uncovered sugar containers and food items stacked improperly.
The restaurant bosses were reportedly told to make improvements immediately.

Authorities said they would carry out more inspections at the business in the coming days and weeks.
The incident took place at a restaurant in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
Under local law, food businesses face fines of 60,000 TWD (£1,446) or more if they fail to upkeep adequate hygiene standards.
