Fast foodies have taken full advantage of a KFC promotion by filling suitcases with free chips.
The chicken shop gave customers a code which allowed them to stock up on the savoury snack without paying a penny.
“Guys, if you get an email about some new fries, redeem the code and run with the biggest container you have to any KFC,” a spokesman wrote on social media in a post that has more than one million views.

It admitted that the restaurant’s old chips were not up to scratch and they wanted to launch a new and improved recipe.

KFC said: “We want to compensate you for the potatoes we had.
“We have calculated how many potatoes you have consumed since your first order and we are going to give you that same amount but the new ones, which are much better.”
According to the company’s calculations, the promotional offer estimates that, on average, each customer consumed around 2.41kg of the old fries.

Since launching, the promotion has been very well received among potato lovers.
The offer applies to KFC restaurants in Spain.
It is not known how long the coupon is valid.
