Three horses escaped from their stable and ran onto a runway just as a plane was coming in to land, as revealed by shocking footage.
The roaming horses pulled back at the last moment, preventing a possible disaster.
The near miss took place at a small airport in a coastal region.

A video shows a small plane coming in to land as several locals look on from the side of the runway.
Just as the plane’s wheels are about to touch the tarmac, the horses trot out from behind a building and apparently try to cross the runway.
As the small aircraft executes the landing rollout, the animals realise the danger and turn away at the last moment.
One concerned onlooker is heard saying: “Oh lord, how irresponsible.”
Despite the dramatic encounter, the plane successfully taxied to a nearby hangar and no injuries or damage were reported on Saturday (31 Jan), as reported by What’s The Jam.

The lucky escape took place at Capurganá Airport in north-western Colombia, serving the Caribbean coastal town of Capurganá near the border with Panama.
One local said: “That’s an everyday occurrence there, and the runway in Capurganá used to be worse.”
“It’s unbelievable that these things still happen,” added another.

A third said: “A street kid ran onto the airport runway in Cúcuta a few days ago.”
At present, neither the airport authority or the Civil Aviation Authority of Colombia have released a statement on the encounter.
It’s unclear whether they plan to improve the security to the airport’s perimeter to prevent a similar incident taking place in the near future.
