“I just really want to hug him again, no matter what it takes.”
The tourist’s problems were further complicated when his passport was stolen during his search.
A local Chinese woman offered him accommodation and Chinese university students helped to distribute flyers.
He then received the news he had been hoping for on the evening of 15 June.
A tube station cleaner saw the tourist’s flyer and later found Bread in a gap between a ticket machine and a wall.
The overjoyed man was reunited with his beloved toy the following day.
He said: “I have never received so much kindness in my life, I am truly thankful.”
He embraced the cleaner and happily handed over €500 for finding Bread, as reported by What’s the Jam.
