A daredevil hamster has been rescued after heroic workers discovered it stranded on a high-voltage power line.
The four-legged guest was spotted by employees of PJSC Rivne Oblenergo during repairs to a 35 kV overhead line in the Rivne region of Ukraine on Monday (5 Oct).
Workers initially thought they had spotted a rat before briefly mistaking the animal for a beaver, as reported by What’s The Jam.

They eventually realised it was an ordinary hamster perched on the wire.
The crew carefully lowered the line so the furry animal could jump off safely before it was re-tensioned and the electricity was restored.
It remains a mystery how the hamster ended up so high above the ground and whether it had an owner.
Workers suspect it may have become caught on the wire while it was being tensioned.
Footage of the tiny-but-mighty rodent has been viewed over 39,000 times since being posted to social media yesterday.
