A considerate dad handed out earplugs to fellow passengers and apologised in advance for his baby’s cries during a night flight.
The kind father bought 100 pairs of earplugs ahead of departure and explained that his eight-month-old baby might cry on the late-night flight.
Mr. Chen, from Yichang in Hubei Province, China, was flying with his wife, mother, and two young children to Guangxi for a family holiday when he decided to prepare for the worst.

Boarding the red-eye service, the young father stood up, bowed his hands politely and told nearby travellers: “Sorry everyone, I’ve brought an eight-month-old baby today.
“I’m afraid he might cry during take-off and landing.
“He’s asleep now but please accept these earplugs if you need them.”
He added: “Have a pleasant flight.”
Mr. Chen handed out over 20 pairs before settling down with his family.

In the end, the little one was surprisingly calm – crying only briefly during the take-off and landing.
Most passengers waved away the offer with smiles, but praised the dad’s considerate gesture.
On the return leg, Chen handed the remaining earplugs to cabin crew to distribute if needed, as reported by Whats The Jam.

He later told Chinese media he had seen similar acts online and wanted to avoid troubling others.
“I try not to cause inconvenience to anyone,” he explained.
“The passengers’ understanding made me feel very grateful.”
The heartwarming clip, shared by Chinese state media, has gone viral with thousands of likes and views.
Netizens hailed the father as a role model, with some suggesting candies next time to sweeten the apology.
