Bill Murray’s auction ball, which featured in the movie, Kingpin, is up for auction for £30,000.
The film, released in 1996, presents Bill Murray playing Ernie McCracken.
He is famous for his ‘lucky’ red rose bowling ball, made from original translucent polyester – one of the most famous sporting props in film history.
It can be seen in the final scene when Ernie, surrounded by cheering fans, prepares to throw the ball, holding it up to show off the red rose in the middle.

Amazingly, Murray rolled three consecutive strikes during filming, which was achieved without the aid of any editing, as well as receiving real roars and applause from the live audience.
Director Bobby Farrelly had anticipated that achieving three strikes in a row might take numerous attempts, but the actor surprised everyone with his skill.
The ball weighs approximately 14.5 lbs and has light scuffing and chips from production use.
This ball, along with bowling balls used by Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid in Kingpin, were donated by Woody Harrelson on behalf of Rysher Entertainment in 1996 at the grand opening of Planet Hollywood in Reno, Nevada.
