An angry mum has been slammed for asking a passenger to give up her window seat on a plane for her crying toddler

She approached Jeniffer Castro to ask her to swap where she was sitting with her young son.

The lad was bawling because he really wanted to sit next to a window.

The family reportedly had a window seat on another row, but the boy insisted on the Jeniffer’s place.

When she refused, the mother pulled out her phone and started filming her.

The child’s screams can be heard in the background of the video.

The mum says: “Why doesn’t she want to change seats?

“I even asked if she has some kind of syndrome or something.

“If someone has a problem, some disability, we understand.

“I’m recording your face, this is disgusting.

“It’s the 21st century and people have no empathy for children.”

Despite the criticism, the young woman did not respond to the mother and only asked if she was being filmed.

The row took place on a GOL Airlines domestic flight in Brazil yesterday (4 Dec), as reported by What’s The Jam.

However, instead of ‘exposing’ the passenger as being unreasonable, many praised her stance.

Katia fumed: “Does your child want to sit by the window?

“Buy and choose the seat and don’t disturb others. No one is obliged to give up their seat.”

Claudio said: “I felt sorry for the girl, she just wanted a peaceful trip, my solidarity.”

Licia added: “This girl needs to be smart and file a lawsuit against this rude and clueless mother.

“Do you want to put your child by the window? Buy it!”

Ana said: “It turns out the only one who is really spoiled is the mother, but now life is showing her who’s boss.”

Joao joked: “Why didn’t she ask the captain to step down to let her son fly the plane?”

According to GOL Airline’s websites, seat amendments can be made in advance or on the day of travel for free of charge, subject to availability.
