“Can’t wait to see you.”

She had arrived in the capital before a major panic broke out when the South Korean President, Yoon Suk-yeol, announced martial law.

Martial law refers to the suspension of ordinary law and the introduction of a military-run government.

His announcement made for an emergency situation, causing civilians to protest.

Yoon Suk-yeol justified the martial law measure as a way to protect the “constitutional order”.

This law remained in force for about six hours until the Korean government approved a motion to lift it.

After losing the legislative elections making it difficult to pass the proposed laws, Yoon Suk-yeol’s presidency has been weakened.

Fans grew extremely concerned when they realised that Dua was in the country at the time.

The London-born star was set to perform at two concerts being held in Seoul.

Her first was scheduled last (4 December) night, just one day after the law announcement was made.
