Climate activists have doused a Tesla Cybertruck in orange paint after striking a car showroom.

Two members of the Last Generation Group, a movement concerned with the environment, threw bright liquid over the vehicle before holding up a sign that read: “Armoured off to climate hell.”

They say the car symbolises “the way the super-rich deal with global warming”, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The US manufacturer, Tesla, has been touring Germany with its futuristic Cybertruck this month.

The company’s new vehicle is a battery-electric, medium-duty, full-size pick-up truck with low-polygon modelling, consisting of flat stainless steel sheet panels.

It was targeted when it arrived at a showroom in Hamburg’s Wandsbek district.

On Saturday morning, (13 July), a 21-year-old man and 55-year-old man set upon the 3.1-ton, 5.68-metre-long vehicle with bottles of orange paint.

They said: “The Cybertruck weighs around three tons, which means it consumes an absurd amount of energy due to its enormous weight.

“A senseless waste that we as a society cannot afford.”

The group also shared a video of the incident to X.

In the clip, the two men can be seen chucking bright paint onto each side of the car.

They then put on orange jackets and hold up their sign in protest.

Many rushed to the comments to share their views.

Casey said: “Make it so they can only drink soup through a straw for a year.”

Mark commented: “Electric cars????, what’s next, Halfords???”

Corey added: “Ahhh yes. The rage of the soyboy radicals in skinny jeans. So fearsome. So courageous.”

Jay wrote: “The radicals have one playbook: “Vandalism is the answer to everything if it’s us destroying what we hate but if you so much as put tire tracks on our beloved painted streets -we will destroy your life”

Joshua commented: “Not everyone loves Tesla.”
