You can now spend the night in a converted American school bus – while in the UK countryside.
Previously functional, transporting 70 kids to and from school in the US, the Skoolie was retired in June 2021 and shipped across the pond.
Once in Britain, the vehicle was given new life and is now welcoming travellers once again – albeit while stationary.
Dubbed The Long Beach School Bus, it is tucked away in Somerset.

Situated at Petruth Paddocks, a quaint campsite in the area, it’s the perfect stay for someone looking for a sleepover with a quirky spin.
The bus has seen an incredible makeover with seats stripped out and replaced with a king-size bed, two single beds a fully-equipped kitchen, and outdoor dining.
There’s plenty of kitchen equipment too.
Guests can prepare a full meal on the long countertops, with two hobs and an oven, and there’s even a built-in table.
Or the indoor log-burning fireplace to toast some marshmallows – or head outside to grill some meat or vegetables on the BBQ.

The bus even comes complete with an ice machine to finish off the gin and tonics.
The bus is suitable for groups, couples, and families, with a bunk bed that allows plenty of room for the kids.
“The kids enjoyed sitting in the driver’s seat pretending to drive the bus – this kept them entertained for most of our stay!” said one recent visitor.
