Hundreds of birds tormented a woman during the UK heatwave after they gathered on her roof.
Madeline Leach was left fuming after a huge number of uninvited winged guests decided to take residence on top of her house.
The 21-year-old had to keep her windows closed during scorching temperatures in fear of the birds entering her home.
According to Madeline, the winged fiends could be heard tapping and ruffling on the roof for hours on end.
In shocking footage, she can be seen letting her frustrations out by banging on the roof.
Over one hundred birds fly away from their new patch in scenes that resemble the Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds.
Madeline, of Newcastle, has now even referred to herself as the ‘bird woman’ from Home Alone.
In Home Alone 2, a woman – dubbed Pigeon Lady – played by actress Brenda Fricker appears in Central Park, New York, US surrounded by them.
And she has been left stumped over the sudden infestation.
“I’m actually the bird woman from Home Alone,” Madeline told What’s The Jam.
“There was scratching on the roof but it didn’t sound like birds, it was very loud.
“It left me really confused.
“The roof was covered in bird poo and they even damaged the TV aerial.
“The birds would tap at the windows, which meant I couldn’t open them, even in the heat.
“There was loads of ruffling upstairs.
“After that video they seemed to quite slowly scatter, it went on for what felt like a week.”
Members of the public have been left shocked by the crazy footage, which was captured during the UK’s first summer heatwave on 18 June.
Morgan said: “This would send me into psychosis.”
Jae added: “Birds nest, girly, that was a colony.”
Cinna said: “Why are there so many?”
Lily added: “There’s no way, I’d move out, that’s not a bird’s nest girl, you’ve been invaded.”
Aoife said: “Why is every bird that’s ever been born in the history of the world on your roof.”
