Bosses are looking to hire a part-time lecturer and they will be paid a whopping £2,028-per-hour.

The course will be run at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, in Newark, New Jersey.

The uni near New York is close to where the Dancing in the Dark star grew up in nearby Long Branch, New Jersey.

Its website reads: “The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is currently recruiting a part-time instructor.

“This course is intended to contribute to curricular content that fulfils the General Education Requirements of undergraduate students and spans the department’s long-standing specializations in music and literature.

“Consistent with NJIT’s Strategic Plan 2030, the integration of experiential educational opportunities into the course would be an important advantage.

“The course could also contribute to a growing departmental concentration in ‘New Jersey Studies’.

The website adds the role will include: “Submitting the course syllabus at the start of the semester.

“Delivering lectures and or facilitating activities designed to engage students at all class meetings.

“Assigning written coursework and grading in a timely manner, and providing ongoing feedback and final grading of students’ written work.”

Some qualifications are needed like an MA in Literature, Music, American Studies, or a related field.

“Prior experience in university-level teaching, especially in areas related to music and or literature.”

It concludes: “In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2,668 per contact hour.”

That works out at £2,028 per hour.
