A dynamic duo have travelled the length of the UK in a tiny tuk-tuk with a giant wedge of cheese on its roof.

David Evans and Kevin Beer drove the bright yellow vehicle from Bideford, Devon to the Orkney Islands.

The trip took nine days, included 29 stops and covered a total of 1,600 miles, as reported by What’s The Jam.

David and Kevin are the founders of Millbrook Dairy, in Bideford, Devon and completed the trip for BBC Children In Need.

Kevin Beer said: “It’s our fifth birthday this year and we wanted to do something different where we can give back to society – hence our crazy tuk-tuk idea.

“As well as raising money for BBC Children In Need, we have sampled some amazing cheeses along the way too from the very best of UK producers.

“We loved every moment although it has made us appreciate the comfort we all take for granted in our normal vehicles.”

David Evans added: “So far, we have raised over £18,000 for Children in Need which is an amazing charity that helps fund thousands of projects in every corner of the UK.

“Our family and friends have already sponsored us and some of our wonderful suppliers and customers have supported us too and we are hoping that our fund raising will continue to grow throughout and after our trip.”
