A signed Tommy Cooper fez sold for £62 at auction after hilarious bidding fitting for the comedian.
The trademark red hat was worn by the late funnyman on stage.
Bidding started at just £2.50 when it went under the hammer.
But a flurry of late bids, some of less than £1 a time, saw the auction go on for seven minutes.

The auctioneer made jokes during the hilarious bidding war, including the late Cooper’s catchphrase, “Just like that.”
He said at one point: “The audience is yawning, but I’m not.”
When it eventually sold, he quipped: “That was hard work.”
One bidder, who watched the auction online, said: “The auction would have made a great sketch for Tommy.

“It started to climb up really slowly.
“The auctioneer kept thinking he’d sold it but another bid came in.
He kept saying, ‘Just like that’ as the bids rolled in.

“He said ‘I’m going to sell it now, all done’ then another bid came in.”
The Euro Auctions sale took place in Dundalk, in Co Louth, Ireland, as reported on What’s The Jam.
“The auctioneer then started cracking jokes
“It was so funny to watch as the auctioneer’s face wasn’t in full view of the camera either.
“It was a comedy of errors.
Cooper was performing in Cairo when he forgot a pith helmet for a sketch.
“He reached out and borrowed a fez from a passing waiter, which got huge laughs.
He always wore a fez when performing after that.
On 15 April 1984, he collapsed from a heart attack in front of millions of TV viewers.
He was midway through his act on the London Weekend Television variety show Live from Her Majesty’s Theatre in Westminster.
The audience laughed as they thought it was part of his act.
The 63-year-old sadly died despite backstage efforts to revive him.
