Theatre bosses have slapped a ‘woke’ trigger warning on a Christmas panto – telling parents the show may be too cheeky for little ones.
Families heading out for a festive treat this year may need to think twice, after warnings that some gags in Robin Hood and his Merry Men are aimed squarely at adults.
Parents bringing under-fives have been urged to be cautious, with theatre higher-ups admitting the show includes jokes “only grown-ups will understand.”

The warning has been placed on the Everyman Theatre’s big Christmas production in Cheltenham.
Tickets start from £10.50, with the show running from 28 November to 11 January, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Theatre-goers will also be able to choose “relaxed” performances featuring lower sound levels, dimmed lighting and access to a ‘Chill Out space’.
Audio-described, touch tours, captioned shows and BSL-interpreted performances are also on offer.
A Everyman Theatre website reads: “Panto is a lot of fun, but sometimes it can be a little bit loud, and a little bit cheeky, with some jokes that only grown-ups will understand.

“Please bear this in mind if you are bringing anyone under the age of 5, or anyone with a nervous or more sensitive disposition.
“Nominated for numerous pantomime awards over the years, the Everyman Theatre’s annual Christmas spectacle rivals anything the West End has to offer.”
The Everyman Theatre has been approached for comment.
