Cops staged a real-life Hot Fuzz-style swan chase after a rogue bird caused chaos on the roads.
The feathered troublemaker sparked panic among locals before being apprehended by brave officers.
One quick-thinking copper managed to grab the wild swan and wrap it in a jacket after a tricky pursuit while a passer-by – armed with her own coat – rushed in to help.

The runaway swan had been spotted blocking traffic and terrifying drivers on Natures Way in Hampton, Peterborough, as reported by Whats The Jam.

After police swooped in, the wayward bird was safely relocated to a nearby lake.
The hilarious scene was straight out of the cult comedy Hot Fuzz, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, where an officer quips: “No luck catching them swans then?”
To which his partner famously replies: “It’s just the one swan actually.”
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “Our neighbourhood officers came to the rescue last week when this swan was causing havoc in Natures Way in Hampton.
