Stonehenge has been branded a ‘boring’ set of rocks by yawning Yank tourists.

Infuriated American holidaymakers have given their two cents on one of Britain’s most historical landmarks.

Visitors from across the pond have taken to Tripadvisor to voice their opinion.

Despite attracting almost one million visitors every year, one tourist stated that the best course of action is to drive past it slowly, take a picture and leave.

A family from Charlotte, North Carolina, US, said: “Try to just slow down and take a picture from the road without stopping.

“Nothing to see here folks keep moving. You have to go.

“Walk back from the stones to the visitor centre to get some exercise.

“Stay in a beautiful bed-and-breakfast in the nearby town and walk through the town and by the rivers.

“If you go all the way, for only these rocks, you are a rockstar.

“I now get why they wanted these stones to roll.”

Other visitors claimed the wildlife in the area near Salisbury, Wilts, was more entertaining.

Avery Gale, from Babb, Montana, US, said: “Aviaries were more interesting to see.

“There are these rocks. Standing.

“You can not even go anywhere close to this to see the stones.

“This place is boring.

“I and many others were happier looking at birds in and around this place.”

A third added: “Not a good advert for tourism and disappointed with Wiltshire and Stonehenge.

“Who wants to pay nearly £50 to look at some 5,000 year old rocks anyway.”
