A pony caused havoc after it was spotted trotting along a motorway.
The escaped equine was seen running in the opposite direction to traffic that was blocked up in a jam.
It happened on the M4 near Heathrow Airport at Hayes, West London.
Eight police cars blocked lanes one and two of the busy motorway to try and capture the pony.
The drama occurred just before 7:30am on Monday (17 Jun) during rush hour.
A driver stuck in the traffic filmed it in an eight-second video on their mobile phone.
The brown pony then trotted away, as reported on What’s The Jam.
It is unknown if it ran away or was caught by officers.
Local Anthony McDonald quipped: “Escaped from Ascot.”
Martin Buckle said: “Smart pony, escaping the context of yet another traffic jam.”
Raj Mair added: “Should the horse be on a mane road?”
Hazel Mckinlay said: “Careful pony, the police are on route.”
Charanjeet Bhachu added: “This is becoming too common.
“Either humans are lacking in common sense, or animals are outsmarting security.”
The Met Police has been approached for comment.
