A helmet, allegedly intended for Oisin Tymon and signed by Jeremy Clarkson with the words “F*ck off,” has fetched £3,800 at auction.
The helmet, famously worn by Top Gear’s driver The Stig, was originally meant to be a gift for producer Tymon.
Former Top Gear host Clarkson, 64, had a well-publicized altercation with Tymon back in 2015, a dispute that eventually led to the end of Clarkson’s 23-year career on the BBC motoring show.

The helmet was discovered abandoned at the Top Gear studios and was later auctioned off by Eastbourne Auctions in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Despite initial estimates suggesting it would sell for between £1,000 and £2,000, it ended up attracting a much higher bid, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
A spokesperson for the auction house commented: “This is a BBC Top Gear motor racing helmet, signed by both The Stig and Jeremy Clarkson.
“This controversial helmet is thought to have been the one signed for Irish producer Oisin Tymon, who was involved in the 2015 incident with Clarkson.
“Clarkson inscribed ‘F*ck Off,’ while The Stig added ‘To the Main Man Osh!! Stay Speedy Brother.’

“It was left behind in the Top Gear offices when the studio was vacated following the incident and subsequent cancellation of the show.”
Ex-co-presenter James May also added his signature, writing: “Go Slow!”
