A hybrid 4×4 dubbed a “tank” due to its ability to float and drive on water has been seen in the UK for “the first time”.
Thomas Howarth, a sports car enthusiast, often shares jaw-dropping vehicles from around the world on Instagram, (@horsepower_hunters ), with his 447,000 followers.
The 28-year-old from London previously made headlines after spotting celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, driving an extremely rare Aston Martin.

It’s believed the car, costing £1m, was the first of its kind to be shipped to the UK, with only 110 made in total.
Now he’s come across a 4×4 that can not only turn like a tank but also float in water for up to 30 minutes – racking up over 59,000 views and 1,850 likes on social media.
“It’s the first time it [the car] has been seen in the UK,” Thomas, a photographer, told What’s The Jam.
“It’s something unusual and different.”
In the clip, the vehicle can be seen spinning around smoothly – almost gliding across the ground with ease.

He captioned the post: “I definitely need a car that can turn like this!”
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many people left more than unimpressed.
“Tyre wear has left the chat,” one person commented.

Another user added: “Can’t imagine what issues this will cause after a year.”
“Yes but ideally it wouldn’t look anything but like that,” someone else said.
Reece added: “That is heinous.”“Those poor tyres,” another person commented.
George said: “This some video game-type s**t man.”
The car, called Yangwang U8, is from the luxury Chinese manufacturer BYD and weighs up to 3.5kg.
If it was any heavier, it would require the driver to hold a HGV license in the UK.
But for now, it’s not currently available and doesn’t meet regulations to be driven on the roads here.
Inspired by the new Land Rover Defender for design, the car is deemed a hybrid – with electric motors and a 2.0 petrol generator battery.
Thomas added: “[It’s got] tank turn ability, semi-amphibious [and] luxury interior with nappa leather and wood.
“Price is from £120,000 in China, but will be more when, or if, it comes to the UK market.”
