Jeff Stelling was left fuming after he said he was asked to stump up an extra charge for his hotel room.
The ex-Soccer Saturday host booked a stay while doing a talk and meet and greet with football fans.
He was set to stay at the Hilton Hamilton Park, in Hamilton, near Glasgow, Scotland – where rooms cost £85.

It was ahead of his ‘An Evening with Jeff Stelling’ in the town hosted by Bianca Westwood with Charlie Nicholas as a special guest.
But the 69-year-old was left irate ahead of the event yesterday (Nov 21).
He said: “Hang your heads in shame Hilton Hotels.
“Room ready at Hamilton Park.
“But have to wait two-and-a-half hours or pay £10 an hour to check in before 3pm.

“Money making rip off.”
Fans of the TalkSPORT star shared his pain, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Mark Cowderoy added: “I own a small guesthouse Jeff, we don’t have staff just myself and my wife.

“If someone wants to check in early, as long as they let us know we will do our utmost to get it ready for them.
“We don’t charge.”
Jeff added: “Quite right Mark.
“Would rather stay with you than Hiltons in future.”
Rich added: “Unbelievable Jeff! Check out should be by 12 and check in half 12.”
Kyle Curran said: “Paying to check in to a hotel early is the worst rule ever.
“I just don’t understand it.”
But one joked: “Surely you can afford this Jeff?”
Yet Colin Hulatt stated: “One in three children in poverty in the UK, get priorities right.”
Hilton Hotels has been approached for a comment.
