It happened as the 149 service to Edmonton pulled out of London Bridge Street near The Shard.

“Out the way, geezer.”

“Oopsy, oh dear.”
Locals were split over whether the bus driver was solely to blame for yesterday’s (22 Jan) prang.
Or if pedestrians should have offered to help guide them out, as reported on What’s The Jam.
David Cornell quipped: “Depot, I think I need a changeover.”
Mark Ambrose claimed: “Standard of bus driving in central London is a joke.”
Marc Watts said: “I hope that’s not coming out of his wages.
“Those buses are £500,000 each.”
Yet Alex Richardson fumed: “Having been in a similar situation, not as bad, in a lorry with an abnormal load on.
“I feel for the driver. The fact no one is offering to help and just filming irritates me.”
One said: “People watching, instead of warning the driver about the happening crash, are just rubbish.”
Djaz Ayrii added: “As a former bus driver, you can’t reverse a bus without someone helping you on the back.
“And clearly you can see them in your mirror.”
Another claimed: “I feel so sorry for the driver.
“Frustrated and stressed, poor thing.”
Transport for London has been approached for comment.
