Gordon Ramsay – the celebrity chef famous for his no-nonsense approach – is flogging an “idiot sandwich” for a whopping £24.
The restaurateur’s last offering is available at his Bread Street Kitchen restaurants in London, as well as on Just Eat.
The dish is made with braised short rib, cheddar, confit mushrooms and spiced tomato chutney, served on sourdough bread.

While there’s no doubt that this is a seriously pricey sarnie, even by London standards, it does, at least, come with fries, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The meal got its name from an infamous incident that saw a frustrated Ramsay put two slices of bread over a chef’s ears and dub her an “idiot sandwich”.
However, a video of the dish has received mixed reactions on social media.
One viewer wrote: “You’d have to be an idiot to go to BSK. Sorry [Gordon Ramsay] but my visit was massively disappointing- terrible service & mediocre food.”
A second person added: “Mr [Gordon Ramsay] please, why did we start supporting junk food all of a sudden? Same applies to Pizza East… When people hear [Gordon Ramsay] they expect quality not burnt toast with butter.”

However, not everyone was so critical of the sandwich and some people said they couldn’t wait to try the new Ramsay offering.
One person wrote: “Yummy! I want!”
A second Instagram user said it looked “delicious” while a third person said they were “curious” about the sandwich.

A fourth viewer added: “Omg I need this.”
While Ramsay’s sandwich is certainly one of the priciest in the UK, it’s not the most expensive in London.
If you pay another four quid, you can enjoy the £28 Wagyu beef sandwich from the luxury department store, Harrods.
