Staff from Vale Wildlife Hospital went to the rescue, as reported by What’s The Jam.
They found he was ill with mange.
A spokesperson said: “Yes that’s a fox precariously strolling along a roof rack system.
“First called out at 1am.
“Unfortunately when we arrived he had disappeared, we’d hoped he’d managed to find his way out.
“But the following day we were called again – he was back in the roof.
“With help from fire and rescue we could see him but couldn’t safely reach him.
“But third time lucky, that night, we got the call we’d been waiting for – he was spotted on the gym floor.
“Our rescue team were too quick for him and he was safely caught, brought back to the hospital, where he is now bedded down and receiving treatment for mange.
“Other than mange we couldn’t find anything else of concern.
“So after treatment and monitoring he will be released back to the area.
“We will ensure the entry point he found to the gym is blocked before he’s released so we don’t get a repeat rescue.”
