Fears were raised for kids’ safety after a mystery, 8ft deep hole was found on a beach.
It had been dug by hand in the sand and just left.
It was spotted by locals and was 9ft wide.

A digger had to be used to fill in the hole on Tregirls beach, near Padstow, Cornwall.
The beach appeared in the third series of TV show Poldark.
It was spotted on Saturday (29 Jun).
An HM Coastguard Padstow spokesman said: “The potential for it to cause injury to the unwary, or to collapse in on children exploring it should not be underestimated.
“Sand hole collapses can cause fatalities.

“The fact that a telehandler is required to fill this particular one in speaks volumes about the danger it presents.”
Charlie Watson Smyth from Padstow Farm filed it in.
Locals were fuming the potentially lethal hole had been dug, as reported on What’s The Jam.

Katy Bryony said: “Anyone that finds this funny, clearly can’t remember the children that have died after these sort of holes collapse onto them.
“Thank goodness it’s been filled in again.
Alison Newman said: “Thank goodness locals are alerted and it can be filled in.
“No-one should underestimate the power of deep holes dug in the sand to cause tragedy.
“Just don’t do it.”
Another called Cara added: “My good friend snapped a tendon and fractured her foot stepping back into a human dug channel on Daymer beach last Easter.
“Ignorant behaviour which led to a nasty injury.”
