A family was left fuming after their Full English breakfast was served up in a JAR.

Gary King visited the West Midlands Safari Park with his wife, daughter, her partner and granddaughter.

They paid £950 for a stay at the tourist attraction, in Bewdley, near Kidderminster.

The bizarre breakfast setup is part of the park’s meal deal at the different lodges customers can stop at.

They booked the giraffe lodge where the rooms overlooked the long necked animals enclosure.

Gary was pleasantly surprised when he woke up to find the families breakfasts had been delivered.

However, the 59-year-old did not expect his food to be stuck inside a jar.

Beans, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes are stuffed into the glass container for guests to heat up whenever they like.

“We were served this when we stayed at West Midlands Safari park.

“We had to place the jar in the microwave for four-and-a-half minutes and then pour it onto the plate.”

Stuart added: “Why not go all the way and serve your cup of tea on a plate to really deconstruct the whole breakfast experience?”

Alex Goodfellow stated: “That’s embarrassing.”

A West Midlands Safari Park spokesperson said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, the glass jars are reusable.

“The transport we deliver the jars in are electric vehicles and the suppliers we choose to partner with are aligned to our sustainability and ecological values.

“Breakfast and dinner will be freshly prepared in separate glass jars during your stay.

“This unique food experience offers you the flexibility and convenience to warm and serve your meal selections at your leisure.”
