Co-op has unveiled a major summer food shake-up featuring Mediterranean-inspired small plates, barbecue favourites, trending matcha treats and new desserts.
The convenience retailer is launching a 25-strong Irresistible Small Plates range as part of a wider summer rollout designed around last-minute entertaining, picnics and barbecues, as reported by Need To Know.
The new collection includes dishes such as Cook & Glaze Chorizo with port and balsamic glaze, Pancetta Croquettes with fondue dip and Nduja Bravas with fried potatoes and smoky sauce.

Lighter options include whipped Ricotta with Pickled Chargrilled Courgettes, Pesto & Pecorino Coleslaw and Feta & Summer Vegetable Quiche topped with paprika crumb.
The products will be available as part of a three-for-two promotion across Co-op’s wider picnic and deli range.
Alongside the small plates launch, Co-op has expanded its barbecue offering with new Aberdeen Angus Rump Steaks with Chimichurri Butter, Greek Style Chicken Sizzle Steaks and Chorizo Style Pork Sausages.
The supermarket is also tapping into food trends with new Pistachio Tiramisu, Alphonso Mango Cheesecake Slices and Matcha Strawberry & White Chocolate Cookies.

New ice cream products include Lemon & Blueberry Ripple Ice Cream and Salted Caramel Pretzel Mini Bites, while shoppers will also find Dill Pickle Crisps and BBQ Lamb Kofta & Tzatziki Crisps on shelves.

Football fans have not been forgotten either, with Detroit Style Pizzas, a Chicken Balti Sub and an American Smokehouse version of Co-op’s Served meal deal launching as part of the summer range.

Co-op said the range has been designed around “pop to Co-op” occasions during the summer, from spontaneous barbecues to easy sharing platters and outdoor dining.
The retailer unveiled the summer range on 4 June.
