Claridge’s are charging £550 for Christmas dinner and even the children’s meal costs a whopping £275.

The five-star restaurant is charging a staggering amount to dine there on 25 December.

And for parents bringing the kids along will have to pay through the nose for them as well.

The festive feast is being served in Claridge’s French Salon and Drawing Room, in the Mayfair eatery.

Guests will be greeted with a glass of champagne and canapés before settling into a five course meal, as reported by What’s the Jam.

The starter options include celeriac carpaccio and smoked salmon.

Second course is a choice of butter poached lobster, crab salad, seared foie gras and wild mushroom and truffle ravioli.

Main courses include Cornish turbot, beef Wellington or roasted delica pumpkin with a selection of roast potatoes, roasted vegetables, braised red cabbage and Brussels sprouts.

For desserts, guests can tuck into a Christmas pudding or a chocolate and hazelnut yule log.

Finally, there is a selection of British cheeses.

On top of the dinner price, diners will also have to pay a 15% discretionary service charge, taking the total bill for a family-of-four to over £2,000.

Claridge’s describes the dinner as a “dining experience to remember”.

The restaurant’s website says: “Celebrate the festive season in style at Claridge’s, where the finest Christmas Day dining awaits.

“Experience the joy of the season with exquisitely curated dishes, served in the timeless glamour of The Foyer and Reading Room, the beautifully adorned French Salon or the elegant Claridge’s Restaurant, with its iconic Art Deco design.

“Our Christmas menu offers an array of seasonal specialties, thoughtfully crafted to capture the warmth and spirit of this magical time.

“Indulge in a dining experience to treasure, creating memories to last a lifetime.”
