A Brit who created the UK’s fastest shed has blasted across a beach at nearly 100mph in the bizarre motor.
Kevin Nicks built the world’s only fully road-legal motorised shed using a broken-down Volkswagen Passat he had sitting in his garden.
The madcap project took a year to complete, with Kevin building a steel frame, fitting wooden shiplap bodywork, installing an engine and making the unusual vehicle roadworthy.

The shed is estimated to have cost around £50,000 and has already clocked up more than 100,000 miles on the road.
And now it has reached nearly 100mph on Pendine Sands near Carmarthen, Wales, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Kevin, from Chipping Norton, said: “The fastest shed did me proud at Pendine.
“Conditions weren’t the best on the sand we have ever had.
“Unfortunately nature didn’t leave us the best surface to run on but it still managed 97.102mph which was a new record over a standing kilometre on sand.

“My best ever on sand wasn’t 105mph but that was the standing mile in better conditions and my best on tarmac is 118.7mph.”
The shed was originally based on a Volkswagen Passat 4Motion and used the car’s 190bhp engine.
Kevin later boosted the power to 265bhp using nitrous oxide injection before upgrading again with a 400bhp Audi RS4 engine.

He has since fitted a newer B7-generation RS4 engine producing a whopping 455bhp.
The unusual machine also comes equipped with hydraulic suspension.
