The Lancashire club has decided to help those who are lonely this yuletide by letting them spend time with staff.
Its Victory Park Stadium will open its doors on Wednesday (25 Dec) to help those who find the festive season to be a sad time of year.
A Chorley FC spokesperson said “One question we keep being asked is, ‘why?’
“A simple answer – why not.”
“If one person turns up and isn’t alone, then it’s worth opening the doors.

The doors will be wide open from midday to 3pm for any visitors wishing to drop in, with an open invitation.
Fans can also drop off food and gift donations, as reported by What’s The Jam.
