A beach artist has celebrated Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with a stunning sandy portrait.
Fred Brown has paid tribute to the national treasure who is celebrating turning a century old.
The iconic broadcaster, known for his breathtaking nature programmes, turned 100-years-old today (8 May).

To celebrate his birthday in style Fred, 54, sketched a portrait of Attenborough into the beach.
The stunning work was set out on Bridlington beach, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“Attenborough at 100,” said Fred, from York.
“The face of a crisis – the tide’s coming in and we’re just stood – watching.
“This sand art tribute on Bridlington beach is unfinished, as is his work.

“Many Happy Returns David.”
The artist who shared the artwork today (8 May) left the sketch slightly unfinished.
The reasoning behind this was due to his belief that Attenborough’s job in protecting nature was also unfinished.

The stunning work has been applauded by members of the public.
One other person added: “As always Fred, you make a great point.”
