A bargain hunter has snagged a pair of £525 designer trainers for just £3 after dreaming about them for 15 years.
Nicola Critchlow was left buzzing after spotting the iconic Isabel Marant Bekett leather wedge sneakers sitting on a charity shop shelf.
The 40-year-old, who swears by “circular fashion”, said she grabbed the shoes instantly and couldn’t believe her luck when she realised they were in her size.

The designer wedges, which once had long waiting lists and were the ultimate “it-girl” shoe, were priced at just £3 in Barnardo’s on County Road, Liverpool.
Nicola, from Liverpool, had only popped in on her usual weekly charity-shop sweep when she spotted the bargain of a lifetime.
“I approached with caution and then felt a bit sick because I could tell they were quality and most likely real,” social media manager Nicola told What’s The Jam.

“Even though they look like they need a little clean up, the craftsmanship is impeccable.
“I first got obsessed about 15 years ago, and I just thought they’d be an item on my wish list, but I’d never actually commit to getting some.

“They were the ‘it girl’ shoe when they were launched.
“There was a long waiting list and an impossibly high price tag… and they divided people as they’re a bit out there.”
Nicola says her love of second-hand fashion comes from wanting to help the planet and finding that pre-loved often beats new.

She said: “I’m a big advocate for circular fashion.
“Fashion has always been important to me, and as I’m getting older and understanding the impact that the industry has on the planet, I’m trying to be more mindful in my purchases.
“I keep my wardrobe pretty minimal, try to avoid falling victim to micro trends and trust that what I like I can always find preloved.
“And it usually works out in the end.”
But while Nicola is thrilled with her thrifty find, not everyone gets the hype.
She added: “Everyone who knows thinks they’re hideous and that I’ve lost my mind.
“But they are definitely an early Christmas present – I’ve officially won the thrifting jackpot.”
