Balenciaga is selling a mini skirt that is made to look like a pair of football shorts for £495.
The red garment is part of the fashion chain’s new Spring 26 collection.
The skirt is designed to resemble short shorts worn by footballers in the 80s.

They have an elasticated waistband with a drawstring tie.
The “football shorts-inspired” mini skirt has pockets.
And they have a small lion artwork embroidered on them.
The cotton skirt has been modelled with a smart red top.
One customer joked: “For when you have a night out at 9pm.

“But a five-a-side match at 7pm.”
The range came out on Tuesday (18 Nov), as reported on What’s The Jam.
The description for the Women’s Lion Football Shorts Mini Skirt reads: “Dry jersey mini skirt.

Mid-waist, football shorts-inspired, elasticated waistband with drawstring.
“Two slash pockets, tone-on-tone lion artwork embroidered on the left hem.
But if shoppers do play football in them, they can’t get them too dirty.
The cleaning instructions say: “Wash max 30°C, mild process, clean separately.
“Clean inside out, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, line dry in the shade.
“Iron at maximum temperature 120°C, iron inside out, do not dry clean.”
In November 2023, Balenciaga was mocked for selling a skirt that looked like a towel wrapped around the wearer for £695.
The fashion line is popular with A-listers like Kim Kardashian.
It comes as England qualified for next summer’s World Cup with a perfect qualification.
Thomas Tuchel’s men won all eight games and didn’t even concede a goal.
