Aldi has launched a new American-style product for less than £1 – and shoppers have already awarded it top marks.
The budget supermarket is tapping into an unusual food craze that has taken over TikTok, inspiring thousands of videos and increasingly bizarre recipes.
Social media users have embraced everything from themed charcuterie boards and homemade dips to margaritas featuring the tangy ingredient.

Now Aldi has joined the trend with its new Deli American Style Pickle Dip, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The 170g tub costs 95p and is available in stores nationwide now.
It combines sour cream and soft cheese with crunchy gherkins and fragrant dill, creating a creamy dip with a tangy pickle flavour.
Aldi said the summer launch can be used for far more than simply dunking crisps.
The supermarket suggests placing it at the centre of a charcuterie board, spreading it on burger buns or even drizzling it over chips.
It said: “Calling all pickle lovers!
“Aldi has just launched the ultimate savoury summer essential that’s set to fly off shelves – the new Deli American Style Pickle Dip.
“This must-have creamy Pickle Dip is crafted with a rich blend of sour cream, soft cheese, crunchy gherkins and fragrant dill.”
Shoppers have already expressed their excitement about trying the latest launch.
After food account UK Newest Foods shared the product on social media, one user tagged a friend and wrote: “I need to get this.”
Another shopper gave the pickle dip a perfect verdict, writing: “10/10 no notes.”
The friend responded: “Na cos why does that sound unreal”.
The Deli American Style Pickle Dip is available in Aldi stores across the UK now for 95p.
