She confronts the enormous cockroach on the wardrobe door and starts spraying it while screaming from the top of her lungs.
But the bug, seemingly undeterred, glides through the air straight towards her.
She hops onto a bed and scans the room for the insect without realising it has landed on her bottom.
The cockroach then crawls up Elena’s back, tickling her armpit before she screams in horror and dashes out of the room.
The video reads: “Here I suffered seven heart attacks and took off all my clothes in the hall because I thought it was still on me.”
She then enters the room wearing only a towel.
Elena, who lives in Spain, says: “I’m leaving here now, how scary.
“I’m shaking.”
The video was shared on TikTok where it went viral with 3.3 million views and over 8,000 comments, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The clip was titled: “Cockroach 1, Elena 0. Don’t try this at home.”
One local said: “I’ve never had such a bad time with a video.”
Another commented: “This is one of the scariest horror films I’ve ever watched.”
“Give it the keys and deeds to the house, there’s nothing else you can do,” joked someone else.
Ida wrote: “OMG, I was screaming as if it landed on me!”
Will remarked: “This is just what I needed to show my boyfriend that cockroaches fly, he always tell me they don’t.”
Although not capable of sustained flight, many species of cockroaches are able to glide through the air with their wings.
