An “irresponsible” influencer has landed himself in hot water with the cops after dangling over a crocodile-infested river by one arm.
Gerónimo Arias, 21, known online as Gero Arias, had planned to perform 238 pull-ups with the dangerous reptiles lurking several feet below.
But the influencer, who has 7.6m followers across Instagram and TikTok, didn’t get to finish the task.

Police officers were called to the scene and promptly told him to “stop clowning around”.
As a result, the Argentinian influencer only managed to carry out 160 pull-ups before being interrupted by the uniformed officials.
Hair-raising footage shows him dangling from a pole suspended over a river as at least one large crocodile can be seen swimming below.
The muscular influencer, who posts daily challenges of himself performing pull-ups, shared the clip with his fans.
The video has gone viral with 34.1m views and over 8,000 comments so far, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Gerónimo said: “We came to Tárcoles River, which is full of crocodiles waiting for food.
“If you fall, there is no chance you’d come out alive.”
He added that he used to work as a lifeguard and knows how to “beat a crocodile”.
The influencer carried out the challenge at Tárcoles River in Costa Rica at the end of August.
He has been slammed online by viewers.
One fan said: “He was just described on the news as an ‘irresponsible young man’.”
Another asked: “You risked your life just for a crappy video?”
Martin added: “You should take better care of yourself, my friend.”
Gabriel said: “This is the real ‘if I fall the challenge ends’ kind of stunt.”
Alejandra wrote: “Terrible example, because of things like this many people could lose their lives, so irresponsible.”
