A stray tabby cat perched on a tree demanded to be heard, meowing as loud as she could.

“During the ceremony, I was trying so hard to listen to the wonderful words my new husband-to-be had written for me but when I heard everyone laughing I could not concentrate.
“When I looked back and saw her standing there, so perfectly behind us on that tree stump, it felt so perfect for us.
“Such a sign that this was all meant to be.

“My husband wanted nothing more than to run off into those woods and get her.
“She ran off into the woods and we couldn’t find her.
“Luckily, the venue is run by the sweetest sisters who went out and lured Daisy in with leftover shrimp from the wedding.

“It took them two weeks but they were able to get close enough to grab her.”
The venue delivered Daisy to a nearby shelter and, following their honeymoon, the couple rushed to collect her.
She added: “Daisy still has a lot of kitten energy.
“She loves darting around chasing after toys and playing with our other cat Gatsby.
“She is obsessed with food and will eat anything, understandable having lived in the woods and fighting for your food.
“She has been known to run off with raw shrimp before from the kitchen counter.
“She follows us around the apartment and is so happy just sitting on our lap purring away.
“She has been the perfect addition – not only for us but for our other cat Gatsby too.
“They really seem to love being with one another!”
